1. Ultrasonic Measurements

When you have a small leak in packaging, the human eye and ear usually won’t be enough to catch it. That’s why experts use smaller leak detection equipment, including machines with headphones and meters that can pick up the high frequency sound that a leak will produce. Not only will they be able to identify that a leak is present, they’ll be able to give professionals an idea of the size and rate of the leak, which enables them to quickly take care of the problem.

2. Bubble Test

This leak test is actually so simple that you could easily perform it at home yourself. Simply submerge the package in water, and watch to see if the change in pressure forces out any bubbles from the packaging. Your food should be completely sealed; so, if you notice any bubbles at all, it means there was a leak which allowed air to enter, leaving your food corrupted and unsafe to consume. 3. Pressure Testing
